Natalia Stroika.
Game maker/destroyer.
In Russian, Stroika means the process of building, or a construction site. When I was a child during perestroika (the rebuilding after soviet collapse), construction projects halted by economic restructuring were my playgrounds, along with bomb-shelters leftover from WWII. Like a weed or a mushroom, I flourish in ruins. I love the smell of rotting life. I am not afraid to die. I am here to play with everything. A vision quest called me a gamemaker, so I'm figuring out what to do about that.
In another avatar, I have a PhD, conduct serious research, and publish scholarly articles. But “by night”—outside institutional/capitalist time— I am a ludic liberator, writer-provocateur, multidimensional game artist, and memetic engineer.
Aren't you so glad you found me? 🙂
I believe that our souls came here to play. And I believe we must play in order to realize our soul’s purpose.
Ludic Liberation is a lovechild of many years of experiences, experiments, and intensive study. I am very excited to share it with you.
